What was the number one thing that was holding you back from accepting self love? I grew up in the ‘60’s and ‘70’s, when the expectations were “You are a giver.”

Who is one person who has changed your life for the better? A friend of mine, Barbara Conner. She taught me what true friendship is.

What is the best advice you have ever received? “Saying ‘no’ is not a bad thing.”

What is a self care habit that you practice regularly? My morning ritual. I write down everything I appreciate, how I intend to feel that day, and what I delegate to God – things I cannot control.

What book are you reading right now? Tribes: We Need You to Lead Us by Seth Godin and The lost language of plants by Stephen Buhner.

Do you have a favorite quote? “In the short run, there are two types of people who live in darkness. Those that are desperate to emerge, and those who are desperate to stay. When you finally realize that part of the reason you were chosen for this life was to shine your light for the first type, you’ll stop worrying about what the second type thinks of you.” Deborah Ivanhoff

Can you share with us a resource or an app that we can use to help our own self care practice grow? A website called www.heartmath.com. There are programs and resources to teach you how to move from your head to your heart.

What is the one thing that you are most passionate about? Plant based medicine and looking to nature for answers.
